Marr-Johnson & Egerton was formed in 2025 by the merger of two leading, independent firms of chartered surveyors and valuers. 

Marr-Johnson & Stevens was established in 1979 by Simon Marr-Johnson and Andrew Stevens, and Egerton’s roots go back to 1986 when it was established by Tom Hutchinson.

Both firms have been based in Mayfair ever since and have unrivalled expertise in a wide range of practice areas, particularly concerning real estate in prime central London.

The founders were some of the first valuers to specialise in the Leasehold Reform Acts and quickly gained a reputation as leading experts in the field.  Our current partners have between them accumulated nearly 130 years’ experience in this specialist field.  

As property ownership and taxation have evolved, so the scope of our services has extended to meet the bespoke requirements of our clients, but at our heart we remain a totally independent firm with an intimate knowledge of our markets.
